2026 Book List

  • All Things Bright and Beautiful by James Herriott (This might be my favorite from the series.)
  • The Sun Does Shine by Anthony Ray Hinton (The 30 year journey of imprisonment and appeals for an innocent man on death row. So much to think about in this one.)
  • All Things Wise and Wonderful by James Herriott
  • The Distant Land of My Father by Bo Caldwell (This one really drew me in. It’s my second book by this author, and I loved both.)
  • Saints volume 3: Boldly, Nobly, and Independent (It was inspiring, a publication of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.)
  • God Will Prevail: Ancient Covenants, Modern Blessings, and the Gathering of Israel by Kerry Muhlestein, PhD (So good!)
  • Saints vol. 4: Sounded in Every Ear (Inspiring and moving.)
  • Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry (I had to skip some parts, but it was one of the best novels I have ever read. I loved it for the psychology and it was an epic adventure story. My first Western.)
  • The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins (I dislike self help books. This one seemed especially worldly in its premises and foundations. It may not be as bad as I thought, but it had the unfortunate fate of being the book I read after Lonesome Dove, and nothing seems good after that.)
  • Dear Beloved by Jan Karon
  • True Sisters by Sandra Dallas (terrible)
  • Doctor Thorne by Anthony Trollope
  • The Slow March of Light by Heather Moore
