Richard and I were Ma and Pa to 7 children, ages 14-18. We had a baby we carried made from a pillowcase and dry rice.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Ross-Family-27.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Ross-Family-27.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" width=\"436\" height=\"650\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5951\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Ross-Family-27.jpg 436w, http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Ross-Family-27-201x300.jpg 201w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 436px) 100vw, 436px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We worked hard and we were a great team. I got heat stroke and had to be taken away for medical help.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Richard.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Richard.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" width=\"436\" height=\"650\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5954\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Richard.jpg 436w, http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Richard-201x300.jpg 201w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 436px) 100vw, 436px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Richard carried on without me. He was a great help to me also and I smiled to think that our Brigham Young actor was also an experienced paramedic.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Ross-Family-14.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Ross-Family-14.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"435\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5960\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Ross-Family-14.jpg 650w, http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Ross-Family-14-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Ross-Family-14-448x300.jpg 448w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Although the Ross Pioneer Trek family was &#8220;orphaned&#8221; they were proud to have finished the trek first, and raced to the end. Richard was there to cheer them on.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Paige.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Paige.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Paige\" width=\"436\" height=\"650\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5961\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Paige.jpg 436w, http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Paige-201x300.jpg 201w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 436px) 100vw, 436px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Paige did a great job on Trek. She was strong and cheerful.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Paige-6.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Paige-6.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Paige 6\" width=\"436\" height=\"650\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5962\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Paige-6.jpg 436w, http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Paige-6-201x300.jpg 201w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 436px) 100vw, 436px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>She was part of a different &#8220;family&#8221; but we watched her from a distance. She enjoyed carrying her family&#8217;s baby.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Ross-Family-6.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Ross-Family-6.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Ross Family 6\" width=\"650\" height=\"435\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5964\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Ross-Family-6.jpg 650w, http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Ross-Family-6-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Ross-Family-6-448x300.jpg 448w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It was an experience not easily explained in words, but the memories are deep and our faith has increased.
