Although the silence was painful after our family left, I have begun to order my thoughts about the past year, journaling, reading notes, reviewing my planner, and organizing myself for the new year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I love reflecting on questions like these during the quiet hours. I will include a few of my answers, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What are the lessons from 2025? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>God can fix things so quickly, so completely, and so elegantly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I have true friends on whom I can call when I need help.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I can trust God&#8217;s wisdom when my trials don&#8217;t go away.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What books and people did I keep close to me?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Book List <a href=\"http:\/\/www.angelaross.net\/blog\/angelas-book-lists\/2025-book-list\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"29115\">Here<\/a>, with my favorites in bold. I read the Doctrine and Covenants the most because I was teaching it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>People: my family, a few close friends.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What do I want to remember?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How Tim and Queenie looked in the sealing room at the temple on their wedding day.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Playing with our grandson in the backyard and at the beach.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How have I grown? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>I trust God a bit more.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What were some triumphs?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wedding luncheon for Tim.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A few special moments during lessons I taught in church.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How did the Savior show up in my life?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In word: the scriptures, words of prophets, impressions during prayer and in the House of the Lord.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In power: to endure challenges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In music: during my most challenging moments, good music came to my mind.  (Shalom by Dan Forrest; Slow Down, sung by Sissel; Seek the Lord by my mom, in her voice; I Want to Be Strong, a song we sang at Girls Camp 30+ years ago.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Through people who listened to me and loved me.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In fresh ideas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In chastening: He helped me change my thinking.
